Top 1979 Songs – #11: Hot Stuff

While I just found other songs that made more of an impact on me and my life, I still actually like this one more than Bad Girls, and it's part of a great scene in the movie The Full Monty, where the guys in the unemployment line hear this song, and can't stop doing some small dance moves to it. That is a sign of a great song, and this song has such a great chorus and hook, it had to be somewhere here. In this case, it ended up at #11, Hot Stuff by Donna Summer. And just like the other countdown, this is where my honorable mentions that didn't make this countdown get listed (in no particular order): The Devil Went Down to Georgia - Charlie Daniels Boogie Wonderland - Earth Wind & Fire Bad Case of Loving You (Doctor, Doctor) - Robert Palmer Pop Muzik - M Do That To Me One More Time - Captain & Tennille Escape (The Pina Colada Song) - Rupert Holmes Brass in Pocket - The Pretenders The Logical Song - Supertramp Goodbye Stranger - Supertramp Heartbreaker - Pat Benatar I Wanna Be Your Lover - Prince Dream Police - Cheap Trick
