If you haven't checked out the new downloads in the sounds section, get your ass over there! Two
tracks feature the FBO horns that made their one-time debut at the
Warehouse in February. A fun time had by all who attended, the show
was a rousing success....enough to consider the possibility of
another such show? You never know...
Full Black Out is aiming to take Atlanta, GA by storm! Be sure to
check out the FBO back at BrandyHouse on April 19th, and be sure to
show your support for the band's debut show at Smiths Olde Bar on
May 12th.
Side Projects Part I - Kris Kolp's solo album, entitled Kip Kale's
Log Cabin Music (more information available at Log Cabin
Studios), is finished, and a special CD Release Party,
featuring Full Black Out, is scheduled to take place at Yianni's in
Tallahassee, FL on Friday, April 18th. The album is an eclectic mix
of rock & roll, blues, country, and funk, featuring artists like
Tishamingo's Jess Franklin and Steve Spivey, and former Best Little
Blues Band drummer Richie Jones. Come out to Yianni's on the 18th
and obtain your copy of Log Cabin Music.
Side Projects Part II - FBO Keyboardist Tony Giordano, in the last
few months, has had the time to jam with former Ancient Harmony
drummer Michael Cansler, bassist Jamie Campbell, and saxophonist
Chelsea Luker, who performed with the previously mentioned FBO
Horns. The project, known as Xingu, makes its debut at the
Warehouse in Tallahassee, FL on Thursday, April 10th. Come out to
see this unique blend of progressive jazz & funk mixed with ethnic
rhythms and percussion.
